Salmon Player is a light-weight digital music player for Chrome that plays media files from your PC and Chromebooks. It looks awesome with beautiful material design touch. There are plenty of music players for Chromebook and Chrome browser for PC, but there are rarely any media players which offers material design. Try Salmon Player.
It supports MP3, OGG, and WAV file formats. It has few interesting features like drag and drop music files from HDD/SSD, keyboard shortcuts, music search etc.
Salmon Player will automatically scan music files once you add a source folder. Please note that it will only add files from the selected folder and you have to manually add each folder one by one! The design is neat and clean, as advertised. It offers three color schemes and there is an option to display album cover as background. Follow the following steps get started.

- Go to this link (Chrome Web Store) and install the application.
- Launch the app after Chrome finishes downloading and installing it.
- Click on the hamburger menu from the left hand side and then click on the add source button. It'll take you to the Media Sources where you can easily select local folders.
- That's it! There are many other interesting features, take a look at 'em.
It's a fresh start and therefore you can expect few bugs. I tried this for sometime and it worked smoothly.
