How to Disable Gmail's New Feature that Allow Google+ Users Email You

Google has recently announced a new feature for Google+ users that let peoples' to email you without knowing your email address through their Google+ Profile. It has been announced in last week. It will help Google to integrate Google+ with Gmail. It will be an easy way to keep in touch with your Google+ users. But it may not be good if this service will be used as spam building. If you don't like this move from Google and you would like to disable this feature that let Google+ users to email you than take a look below. You can turn off this feature completely or you can also set this to allow sending email from Google+ from the persons who are in your circles. Just choose the one you would like to set.

How to Disable Gmail's New Feature that Allow Google+ Users Email You
Now that this feature has been introduced to Gmail users controlling who can send you email is very simple ans easy task. Just follow some of the very simple steps given below to turn off Google+ email service.

  1. At first sign in to Gmail and navigate to General Tab from the settings.
  2. Now scroll down until you find Email via Google+.
  3. Just click on the drop-down and choose the option which you like. You can choose "Anyone on Google+" which will allow anyone sending an email who use Google+. Select "Extended Circles" if you want to let friends of your friends to email you through Google+. Choose "Circles" if you want to allow users which you have added in your circles ( and not to the people who have added you on their circle ) sending you email. If you don't want to allow anyone to send you email by using Google+ than choose "No one" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Now you will scroll down and save your changes.
That's it! It's that easy. This service will not be available for the users who use Gmail but haven't signed up for Google+ yet. In some of my friends' Gmail account it was set to allow anyone on Google+ to send him email and many others have reported that their settings was set to anyone one Google+ but when I seen it on my account it was set to circles. So, hurry and take a look at the Gmail settings now if you don't want to allow anyone to send you email and fill up your mail box with unwanted emails and messages. It can be a new way to connect with your friends or on-line users but if you don't like it than you have an option to not to use this feature as explained in this post.

Worried about this step from Google? If you do than don't worry much about this as Google has kept the security in their mind. If someone email you through Google+ than they will get one try but if you will not reply to 'em than they can't send you email next time through this feature for Google+ users.

Google is rolling out many features and services that allows Google+ to integrate with all of it's service as it can do. And this feature from Google is another step towards integrating Google+ with Gmail. Either you like it or not the service is rolled out and is in use. For some it will an easy way to connect with their on-line friends and users and for some it will be bad. It depends on how did you use Google and it's various services. And for the people who have signed up for Google+ and have a working account but never used it again than it can be a new way for peoples to fill up your inbox with some unwanted emails. Just check your settings in your Gmail account and set whichever you want in your Google Account. At the same time you like to read some Interesting Google Tricks that you might not know about.
